IRIS Conductive Education in partnership with GlowKids Trust
IRIS Conductive Education operates in a unique partnership with GlowKids Trust, a parent led organization that was formed in 2011, to deliver a conductive education programme for children who have motor disorders with neurological origin (such as cerebral palsy or spina bifida) or who show signs of developmental delay. The programme encourages and motivates children to develop and achieve to their greatest potential, and to live a full, happy and productive life. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to see and experience their role in the world as an active one. The approach is educational and operates as part of an early childhood education centre (pre-school) and is therefore integrated with the New Zealand early childhood education framework.
How we work
Each child has an individual plan that is implemented in a group setting. The group environment builds a strong foundation of encouragement, motivation and confidence. Parents work alongside the Conductor and Teacher staff to encourage children with each activity. We believe this partnership approach is vital from the beginning.

GlowkKids Trust was created by parents of special needs children in Auckland, New Zealand. It is governed and partly operated by these parents.
